Project Second Chance: CCC Library Adult Literacy Program

Do you struggle with basic reading, writing, or spelling? The Contra Costa Library’s Adult Literacy Program, Project Second Chance (PSC), is here to help! PSC offers free and confidential basic literacy instruction to adults who read or write below a 6th grade level.

We are excited to announce that the Contra Costa Library will be at AJCC Concord to offer Project Second Chance services and process intakes. Their trained volunteers provide one-on-one tutoring sessions that are tailored to personal schedules. These sessions can be virtual or in-person at a public place, usually the local library. Each session lasts for 90 minutes, and students typically meet with their tutor twice a week.

If you or someone you know could benefit from our program, please encourage them to come and visit at AJCC Concord, We are here to help, and we believe that everyone deserves the chance to improve their literacy skills.
